June 12, 2012 – LEGO Education today announced the 2012 LEGO Education Advisory Panel (LEAP) members. These 39 educators will collaborate with LEGO Education to develop classroom solutions and curriculum that elevate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts and 21st-century learning skills. LEAP members have an opportunity to be very influential on product development and design. These select teachers offer insight and years of classroom knowledge that will help LEGO Education create better classroom solutions. Additional LEAP membership privileges include speaking engagements at LEGO Education conferences, symposiums, and workshops as well as sharing student and classroom success stories through social media.
- Thirty-nine educators from across the United States were selected by LEGO® Education to participate on the 2012 LEGO Education Advisory Panel (LEAP) and will provide product feedback to the LEGO Education Innovation and Marketing teams.
- Selected 2012 LEAP members include three preschool, 10 elementary, 10 middle school, nine high school, and seven university educators. LEAP 2012 consists of 18 educators held over from last year’s inaugural panel and 21 teachers who joined this year.
“Our LEAP educators provide real-world feedback on how LEGO Education products are received by students,” said Stephan Turnipseed, president, LEGO Education North America. “We had many strong applicants and we are excited to work with this elite group to continue development of world-class products for today’s classrooms.”
